Maintaining an Attitude of Gratitude

How about just being grateful for being smoke free today?  
 
Make that your mantra, and see what happens... 
 
Gratitude and a feeling of being grateful are really all the motivation one really "needs" - not congratulations, recognition, "being right," sounding good, proving others wrong, showing everyone how much you "know"...that's all tangential, and irrelevant...remember that you too can go out tomorrow and pick up - it's not like it doesn't happen more often than not, so please don't ever think you're "over it" or too safe - that puts you right where your inner addict (who is a liar, and wants to kill you) wants you... 
 
Breathe in Love, breathe out gratitude - love and gratitude shrink the big, loud, ugly inner addict down to a tiny yappy pimply ameoba.  
 
...and remember: you can only keep what you have by giving it away...
