Hi, I'm ParrotLady (Denise), and I’m so honored to be your host for the bonfire tonight. I would love to know how you are staying busy (or not) in these interesting times. I am baking my own ciabatta rolls and cooking dinners I would never have tried, otherwise. Plus, I’m having to substitute ingredients into my traditional meals because stuff I normally used is not available right now. And I’m not even going to discuss how I feel about the people hoarding TP and paper towels 🤐!

This wonderful Bonfire tradition is carried on in the memory of our very own Q-Angel, Mary (tillietoiler) Merrey. She started the bonfire as a place to get together and toss away your unsmoked cigarettes and anything else that may be bothering you. As Mary became too weak to host, the BBBs (Bonfire Brigade Babes & Bros.) took over tending Mary’s fire. It’s so easy to find us. Just search for The Bonfire and join the group. We’ll be there waiting for you every night.

Feel free to wander around Q Island. The Tiki Bar is always hopping later on. There is an amazing buffet available for your enjoyment: shrimp, lobster, prime rib, steak, roast chicken and turkey, ham, even some eggplant parmigiana and all the sides! The All Things Chocolate buffet is a crowd favorite, too. Enjoy! Everything is calorie free here on Q Island.

For those who prefer a quieter evening, there are plenty of loungers set out on the beach. That's where the dolphins love to play. Sometimes they get very excited and splash quite close to the edge of the beach so don't be surprised if you get a bit wet! Towels are in the big hamper by the hammocks.
Newbies and everyone else, shout out your anniversaries and any milestones you may be celebrating. I love to celebrate those important days. And remember, it's because of each of you that we are here!
Methods of hauling your unsmoked cigarettes: In your choice of colors and decorations

001-500 = tall kitchen trash bags

501 to 999 = black yard size trash bags

1,000 to 9,999 = wheel barrows

10,000 to 49,999 = new dump truck

50,000 to 99,999 = a train

100,000 to 249,999 = a barge
I’ll start this bonfire by throwing in my 70,170 unsmoked cigarettes; swooooooooooooooooosh, there they go, up in a blaze!
Parrot Lady, Grateful BBB
